Every patient deserves personalised care and service. At Cambridge Endodontics we will listen to your symptoms and make sure we have a clear understanding by conducting a comprehensive examination and required test to give you an honest professional advice before any treatment is started.

Our Treatments

  • Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic or Root Canal Treatment involves removal of the infected or diseased tissue from inside the tooth and then filling the canals to prevent reinfection. Following successful treatment, your general dentist will restore the tooth in most cases with a crown to ensure best long-term outcome.

  • Retreatment

Every now and then it is necessary to have to re-do root canal treatment, this is mainly due to re-infection of previous/ earlier treatment that may have been done years ago. The process involves removal of previous root filling, re-cleaning of all canals with the aim of eliminating all infection that is present, and then root filling to re-seal the canals.

This is usually a more complicated procedure and requires advanced techniques and state of the art equipment in order to optimise treatment outcome. Dr Pantea Motearefi is highly experienced in re-treatment procedures and has a high success rate at restoring teeth and their surrounding tissues to health.

  • Endodontic Microsurgery

This is a procedure that involves the removal of infected or diseased tissue at the root apex, using advanced microsurgical techniques. This form of treatment is necessary when we cannot gain access of the apex through the canals, or due to other complicating factors.

  • Nervous Patients

Here at Cambridge Endodontics we also provide sleep dentistry for those patients who don’t feel comfortable when coming to the dentist. Dr Pantea Motearefi and team can work alongside fully qualified Anaesthetists to keep you free from anxiety. Sleep dentistry or Intravenous Sedation will put you in a sleep like state and will make treatment run a lot smoother and faster.

Payments will be required in full on the day of treatment. A personalised treatment plan is provided only after initial consultation. Payments can be made using EFTPOs and all major credit cards (a surcharge fee applies). HICAPS claims are also available.

What is QIP Accreditation?

QIP Accredited

Accreditation is independent recognition that we have met the requirements based on a defined criteria and set of standards that all practices can be judged equally against. Accreditation provides assurance to our patients, staff and everyone associated with the Practice that quality and performance standards have been met and are being constantly evaluated and improved upon.

The accreditation of private dental practices’ is based on the integration of a set of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards into everyday practice culture and patient safety. These standards harmonise regulatory requirements passed down by both Federal and State governments.

National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards for Dentist’s were adopted by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care in 2011. The attainment of these standards means a dental practice has proven to be of the highest calibre in delivering quality patient care within Australia.

We assure you we are committed to ongoing improvement of the policies and procedures that govern our dental practice, providing assurance to patients, staff, colleagues and peers that we are committed to quality, safety and excellence across all standards.
